Barton: Wallet stolen by 'homeless' man

A kind-hearted man had his wallet stolen after letting a man into his house after he claimed to be homeless and cold.

The incident happened at 9am yesterday (Monday, February 5) when the man came to a house in Finkle Lane, Barton.

When the occupant of the house returned from putting the kettle on, he realised his wallet was missing and challenged the visitor, who ran from the house.

The suspect  is described as white, in his 30s, of slim build, with a shaved head and unshaven face. He wore green combat trousers.
