Trio attacked by gang

Cleethorpes: Can you help identify those responsible?

A couple and a male friend were treated in hospital after being attacked by a large gang of youths during a night out in Cleethorpes.

The attack happened at around 11.30pm on Thursday, August 6, as the trio walked from Market Place to Cross Street.

A group of men and women in their late teens to early twenties began to shout at them, before attacking the 34-year-old woman, who fell to the floor.

Her 36-year-old husband went to her aid and was knocked unconscious as he was repeatedly kicked and punched while trying to protect her.

The third man was also injured when he attempted to help the couple.

The husband suffered a broken elbow, bruising and swelling to his face and black eyes; his wife and their friend also suffered bruising and swelling to their faces.

Anyone who witnessed the attack, or is able to identify the group, is asked to call 101 quoting crime reference 2130783 of August 6.
