Three men charged following large cannabis farm found at Carnaby
East Riding of Yorkshire
Three man were arrested yesterday at Carnaby Industrial Estate near Bridlington, by the local policing team assisted by officers working under #OpGalaxy. Two of the men were arrested as they left the building and a further man was located hiding within the premises by police dog (PD) Havoc.
The officers, acting on information, found a large scale cannabis factory within the building containing 1400 growing plants and equipment such as lamps and transformers.
The three men were all charged with the production of cannabis and are due to appear at Hull Magistrates Court today.
Driffield Neighbourhood Inspector Rob Cocker said, ‘The discovery and dismantling of this significant cannabis grow means that a large quantity of class B drugs have been stopped from entering the local drugs market, making the communities of Bridlington, Driffield and the surrounding villages safer.
“Anyone with information about the production or supply of drugs in their community can get in touch with us on our non-emergency number 101.
“We investigate all reports and will continue to take enforcement action where needed to make our communities safer for everyone.”
