Three charged following Withernsea robberies

Three men have been charged following two reported robberies at shops on Queens Street in Withernsea last week.

Kalvin Donnelly, 36, of Easedale Avenue, Hull and George Green, 63, of Kay Kendall Court, Withernsea were both charged with one count of robbery.

David Venner, 44, of Valiant Drive, Hull was charged with two counts of robbery.

All three appeared before Hull Magistrates Court on Saturday 21 March.

We were called shortly after 9:30pm on Thursday 19 March with reports that three men had entered a shop and tried to steal money. When challenged by a member of staff, one of the men allegedly verbally threatened the staff member before leaving with the till.

Three teenagers, who were nearby, gave chase during which the till was dropped. The men then reportedly entered a second store and allegedly stole cash from the till.
