Distinctive items stolen from Country House – Can you help locate the stolen property?

Police are appealing for help to find those responsible for the theft of two glass bottles from the displays at Burton Constable Hall in the East Riding.

The theft occurred between 9am on June 16 and 4pm on June 22.

Two glass bottles were taken – one, a very distinctive red gold and silver painted Victorian scent bottle, approximately 10cm tall (as pictured). The second was again a Victorian scent bottle, described as a clear hour-glass bottle with a silver top, approximately 10cm long.

Did you witness the theft, know where these bottle are or know who is responsible?

If you are offered goods that you believe to be stolen please let the police know by calling the non-emergency number 101.  Handling stolen goods is a crime.  Knowingly buying stolen goods is an offence.  If you know anyone who is buying or selling stolen goods, call Humberside Police on 101.  Alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, you won’t be asked your name and you could receive a cash reward.
