Two brothers aged 16 and 14 from Hull have both received 12 month detention and training orders for offences committed across the city.

The teenagers, who are from west Hull but cannot be named because of their ages, pleaded guilty to the offences at Hull Youth Court.

The 14-year-old boy was sentenced for three commercial burglaries, attempted burglary, and criminal damage.

The 16-year-old boy was sentenced for two commercial burglaries and attempted burglary and has been sent to a young offenders’ institution.

The teenagers were on the list of targeted individuals dealt with by officers as part of Operation Yellowfin.
