Joint statement from Police, Fire and Ambulance

Emergency services were alerted to a report of a serious ‘incident’ in north Hull in the early hours of this morning 18 June 2018. 

Officers attended and after initial investigations were carried out it was quickly established that an individual had placed a hoax call.

Hull: Colin Cadamartriea will be sentenced next month

A Hull man has today been convicted of murdering 31-year-old Jarrad Marsh, who died of stab wounds following an incident in Albert Avenue, Hull, on January 20.

It took the jury at Hull Crown Court less than an hour to return a guilty verdict against Colin Cadamartriea, 63, of Albert Avenue.

The incident happened on Pickering Road in Hull around 10pm on 3 June 2018. It was reported that the suspect pushed the victim against a wall, threatened him then robbed him of his shoes.

Hull: Victim named as Rolandas Poskus

This morning we are able to name the man whose body was found on a grassed area on Dane Park Road in Hull.

The victim is 52-year-old Rolandas Poskus. Rolandas originated from Lithuania and was living in Hull. His family, who are in Lithuania, have been informed.

Two women (aged 42 and 18) and one man (aged 23) remain in custody in connection with Rolandas’ murder.

Hull: Three people arrested in connection with the death of a man

Two women (aged 42 and 18) and one man (aged 23) have been arrested in connection with the death of a man who's body was found on Dane Park Road in Hull.

Hull: Man's body found in Dane Park Road area

An investigation launched yesterday evening following the discovery of a man’s body in the Dane Park Road area of Hull has been continuing overnight.  The death of the man, whose body was located in a nearby grassed area, is now being treated as a murder enquiry.

Detective Superintendent Matthew Hutchinson from the Major Crime Team who is leading the investigation said:

Police are currently responding to a call reporting a body being found in the Dane Park Road area of Hull this evening.

An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Enquiries are in their very early stages at this time.

Hull: We are first UK force to test system in a port setting

We are the first police force in the UK to trial the use of ground-breaking new facial recognition technology in a port to help us quickly identify wanted people.

The two day trial - which was run in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police – took place this week at King George Docks.
