Man sentenced to four years for robbery of elderly man
Joseph Isherwood (37) appeared at Hull Crown Court on Tuesday 21 September after being charged with robbery.
Isherwood was arrested in December 2020 after entering the east Hull home of a 74-year-old man, stealing cash, a mobile phone and bank cards, which were later used to withdraw hundreds of pounds of cash from an ATM.
He admitted the offence and has been sentenced to four years in jail.
Detective Sergeant Andy Bradley said: “I am pleased with the sentence given out to Mr Isherwood and I hope that the sentencing provides the victim with some degree of closure.
“It’s important to us that our communities feel safe and we are committed to taking offenders off the streets.”
