A 52-year-old man has been ordered to pay back more than £125,000 of his own money and belongings.

Jacob Robert Smith of Alexandra Street in Thorne, South Yorkshire pleaded guilty to two counts of mortgage fraud and one count of money laundering back in June last year. He was sentenced to 27 months in prison.

Last week on 27 September 2018, a confiscation order was made against him at Hull Crown Court which gives him three months to pay back a total of £126,647.33.

His assets include a percentage of his marital home, land and buildings at Goxhill Airport, a Mazda 6 car, money and a luxury watch.

If he doesn’t sell his assets within the time given, he could serve an extra 18 months in prison.
