Man charged following Selby Street assault

A man has been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm following an incident in Selby Street, on Friday, 9 October.

Szymon Kaminski, 27, of Albert Avenue, Hull, appeared before Hull Magistrates Court on Wednesday 14 October where he was remanded in custody.

We were called shortly before 2pm on Friday, 9 October, with reports that a man had been found injured on Selby Street.

Enquiries were conducted to establish the circumstances and it is believed that the man had previously been assaulted at around 12.15pm near to the footbridge.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries, where he currently remains in a critical condition.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone with information about the incident or anyone that saw or approached the victim in the street during the afternoon prior to him going to hospital.
