Man arrested following plant equipment theft

Police were called at 9.22pm last night (Tuesday 21 June) reporting a theft at a building site on Airmyn Road, Goole.
A compressor had been stolen and was being taken away on a green Land Rover pick-up and was in convoy with a white Range Rover.
The Land Rover was quickly located after being involved in a collision on the slip road from Howden Spur onto the Ouse Bridge. Two people are believed to have abandoned the Land Rover and fled the scene on foot towards a nearby farm.
Following searches on the ground and involving the police helicopter one of the men was located.
The 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft and remains in police custody at this time.
The compressor has been recovered.
Enquiries are still on-going in relation to the incident and locating the second man from the Land Rover and the Range Rover involved.
