North East Lincolnshire

10 Jan 2019

A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence following an incident in a pub in Grimsby on Wednesday 9 January.

It happened in the Angel pub on Freeman Street around 5pm.

Officers quickly attended and arrested the suspect who had left the premises.

Indications are that the 'firearm' seized from the arrested man is an imitation.

This was an isolated incident and no-one was hurt. The man is still in our custody.
