Can you help to trace the owners of a horse that caused £2,500 of damage after running into a car whilst loose on the B1230 North Cave?
The animal was injured in the incident, which happened just after 4.30pm on Saturday, May 23. However, as the owner has not been traced, the condition of the animal is not known.
The victim said as he came round a bend in the road, two horses were loose in the road, one of which appeared to have its rear legs caught in a metal gate. This animal was running towards the victim’s car but veered, causing damage to the inside front.
It is thought the owners of the animals – which were said to be a large breed, possibly Clydesdales – arrived at the scene but left without giving their details.
The owners were described as a female driver, accompanied by a man, driving a black pick-up style truck, possibly a Mitsubishi or Nissan.
Anyone with information about the owners is asked to call 101 quoting log number 358 of May 23.
