Shiptonthorpe: Appeal to find stolen property and catch intruder

14 May 2015

Police are appealing to anyone who can help with their enquiries into a burglary which happened between 9pm on Tuesday April 28 and 5pm on Saturday May 2 on York Road in Shiptonthorpe.

The intruder(s) entered the house and stole two gold and one platinum sapphire and diamond rings and two diamond rings from a bedroom.

Do you know who’s responsible? Or do you know where these rings are?

Anyone with information about the burglary or who may have been offered these items is asked to contact Humberside Police on 101, quoting Crime Reference 2111701.

Handling stolen goods is a crime. Knowingly buying stolen goods is an offence that can carry a longer prison sentence than from actually stealing them. If you know anyone who is selling or buying stolen goods, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. You won’t be asked your name and you could receive a cash reward.
