NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE
A man has been arrested after emergency services were called to reports of a fire at an electrical substation on Oxford Street in Grimsby at around 6.45pm yesterday (Thursday 9 January).
Emergency services attended and a cordon was put in place to protect members of the public and allow services to work safely.
Whilst conducting lines of enquiries, officers discovered a suspected cannabis grow inside a property nearby.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the cultivation of cannabis and abstracting electricity without authority. He remains in police custody at this time.
A scene guard remains in place whilst officers carry out lines of enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire.
From investigations carried out so far, nobody is believed to have been injured.
