Officers are appealing for dashcam footage after a grey Land Rover is reported to have driven into a police car in Hull on Monday 20 January.
Two police community support officers were in a marked police car driving along Dressay Grove, Hull when at approximately 8.30pm the driver of a Land Rover containing Union Jacks on its rear windows is reported to have driven into the police car.
The driver of Land Rover then fled the scene travelling along Robson Way before coming to a stop on Priestgate in Sutton.
Thankfully nobody sustained any serious injuries as a result of the collision.
As a part of initial lines enquiry a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle, failing to stop after a road incident, using a motor vehicle without insurance, and driving whilst unfit through drink.
Two other people, a 43-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. The 36-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after a road incident, assault, using a motor vehicle without insurance.
They have since been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
