Euro's 2020 - Next match

2 Jul 2021

Many people up and down the country will be preparing to watch England’s next game in the UEFA Euro’s 2020 tournament tomorrow, Saturday 3 July.

Ahead of this, Chief Superintendent Darren Wildbore has issued the following advice: “Public safety has always been and will continue to be our priority. This should be a great time for football fans and we want everyone who goes out to watch an England game to do so without fear of violence or anti-social behaviour.

“I am pleased to report that people have been enjoying the football with little to minimal disruption.

“Our policing approach going into the weekend will be as it has been throughout the tournament with our officers being out and about on high visibility patrols and actively engaging with football enthusiasts to ensure everyone remains safe and within the COVID guidelines.

“There is no excuse for abusive, anti-social or violent behaviour so we are urging people to act and drink responsibly.

“If you have any concerns, speak to our officers as you see them out and about or ring our non-emergency number 101.”
