Officers in Grimsby have arrested a man on suspicion of drugs offences after a warrant was carried out at an address on Grafton Street this morning. A large amount of suspected drugs were also recovered from the address.
The warrant was carried out by officers from our Criminal Investigation Department supported by officers from our Special Constabulary.
Detective Sergeant Tom Kelly from our Criminal Investigation Department said: “We are committed to tackling drug crime in North East Lincolnshire.
“Today’s warrant is another great result for both us and our communities with one in custody and a considerable amount of drugs taken off our streets.
“I understand the impact that drugs and drug related crime and anti-social behaviour can have on a community, which is why it is important that we continue to work together to tackle it.
“If you have any information or concerns about drugs in your area, no matter how small it may seem, please get in touch so that we can investigate.
“Your information helps us to understand the wider picture and in many cases gather enough evidence to take action, like today’s warrant.
“You can report information either by calling our non-emergency 101 line or anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
