Do you know this man?

We are keen to speak to him as part of our investigation into a serious assault outside the Merchant Navy Club, Ferensway, Hull, at around 5.45pm on Monday, January 9, which left a 54-year-old man with potentially life threatening injuries.

He remains in Hull Royal Infirmary.

It is said he was approached by two men outside the club. He was then assaulted and a bag containing two board games was stolen.

A 45-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on police bail to a date next month, pending further enquiries.

However, the second man is yet to be identified.

Detective Chief Inspector Alan Curtis said: “This was an isolated incident. Luckily incidents of this kind are rare and we don’t believe there is any threat to the wider public.

“However, we are keen to track down this man so that we can eliminate him from our enquiries.

“He is described as white, tall, aged in his twenties or thirties, wearing a beige jacket, a long sleeved light coloured top with horizontal stripes and a dark coloured baseball cap.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting log number 394 of January 9.
