Cyclist involved in serious road traffic collision has sadly died

A man who was taken to hospital following a road traffic collision involving a bicycle and a HGV in Hull has sadly died. 

It happened on Anlaby Road around 4.30pm on Thursday 25 July. 

The 55-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital but sadly passed away on the evening of Wednesday 7 August. 

His family are being supported by officers. His relatives have requested that we do not release his name or a photograph of him. 

The cyclist’s family have also asked to send thanks to members of the public who stopped and helped at the time, to staff at Hull Royal Infirmary and also to other emergency services. 

Investigations into the circumstances of the collision are continuing and any witnesses, that have not already spoken to us, are asked to call 101 quoting log 470 of 25/07/19.
