Charged with racial abuse

Bridlington: Hirst due before court

A Bridlington man is due in court next month charged with racially abusing a police officer in the town.

Christopher Hirst, 26, of Trinity Avenue, Bridlington, is charged with two counts of using threatening or abusive words and behaviour towards PC Michael Amidulla and one of racially or religiously aggravated harassment towards him.

He is due to appear before Beverley Magistrates Court on February 15.
