Attempted robbery at restaurant

Grimsby: Help us catch the suspect

Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery inside the men’s toilets at the McDonald’s restaurant on Victoria Street, Grimsby at around 10.55am on Monday May 25. A 16-year-old boy was in the toilets when an unknown man demanded he hand over his wallet before attempting to punch him. The boy managed to run off. The boy had no injuries and the wallet was not stolen. The suspect has been described as white, between 5'9'' to 5'10'' tall with a slim build and aged in his late teens to early 20’s. He had thin-framed black sunglasses on his head, grey short-sleeved t-shirt, grey knee-length shorts and pale-coloured shoes with darker laces. He also had scabs on the knuckles of his right hand.
