Attempted robbery

Grimsby: We're appealing for information

19 Dec 2017

We are appealing for information and witnesses following an attempted robbery at a shop in Grimsby.

The incident happened last night 18 December 2017 at the Lifestyle Express store on Weelsby Street around 7.00pm.

A man walked into the shop, threatened staff and demanded money. He then ran out of the store. Nothing was stolen.

Armed officers were called to the scene as a matter of precaution.

On leaving the shop the suspect was nearly hit in the road by a white Ford Transit van. We would like to speak to the driver of that vehicle.

The suspect has been described as white, in his late teens, 5 feet 8, and slim. He was wearing a grey Nike jacket with the hood tied tightly around his face, and blue Adidas bottoms.

If you have any information please call 101 quoting log 470 of 18/12/17.
