Appeal to football fans in connection with alleged park rape

10 Apr 2019

Flyers will be handed out tonight by officers before the Hull City v Wigan game at the KCOM stadium as part of our appeal to find a man in connection with an alleged rape in West Park in Hull

We have already issued images and CCTV footage of the man we want to talk with in connection with the incident which happened in West Park in the early hours of Saturday 9 February.

He’d previously been drinking in the New Griffin pub on Anlaby Road on Friday 8 February between 10.45pm and 1am on the Saturday morning.

The man was later seen running along Walton Street around 3.26am.

Detective Chief Inspector Craig Nicholson said: “We’ll be handing out these flyers in and around the same area as this incident was reported to have happened in February.

“I hope they’ll help anyone remember anything from that night – anything at all – that could help us find this man.

“If you are given a flyer, please don’t discard it as it may help to jog your memory at a later date.

"If you do know something call us with any information quoting log 372 of 9/2/19.”

The match kicks off tonight Wednesday 10 April at 7.45pm.
