A 37-year-old man remains in custody today following an incident in Ancholme Avenue, Immingham, last night.
Officers successfully removed a man with a firearm from a property in the street at 7.45pm on Monday, September 5, following almost five hours of negotiations.
A number of firearms were recovered and made safe and a 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, making threats to life and under section 16 of the Firearms Act.
No one was hurt as a result of the incident.
Officers leading the investigation into the circumstances of the incident are now appealing for help in piecing together the events leading up to it.
Anyone with information – particularly anyone who saw a dark coloured Vauxhall Vectra being driven in the area in an erratic manner from around 2.30pm - is also asked to get in touch.
