The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives a general right of access to all types of recorded information held by public authorities, sets out exemptions from that right and places a number of obligations on public authorities.

Before making the request, it is worth checking to see if the information required has been published on the website already.

When requesting information please include the following details:

The information or documents you would like to access
The way you would like the information to be sent to you (e.g. hard copy or via email).

We aim to provide information listed in the Publication Scheme as soon as possible and in any case within twenty working days.  The Act does not impose a time limit.
