3. What languages were your suppliers not able to supply in 2022?
Humberside Police can confirm there are no languages that the suppliers have been unable to supply.
4. Which external supplier(s) do you currently use to deliver your interpreting
and translation services?
Humberside Police can confirm Language Line TI Ltd are used to deliver the interpreting and translation services.
5. Are you able to provide approximate fee / interpreting session for:
a. In-person/face to face interpreting
The fee is £32 an hour (in hours) £42 per hour (out of hours) – Minimum 1 hour.
b. Telephone interpreting
The fee is £0.63 per minute.
c. Video interpreting
The fee is £2.50 per minute (on demand) or Pre booked video, same as face to face.
6. If you outsource the provision of interpreting services to an external provider,
could you please confirm:
a) Whether the provider was contracted via a national framework? If so, which
one?
Humberside Police can confirm that the provider was contracted via the national framework ESPO.
b) When does the current contract expire?
The current contract is due to expire on 30/11/2023.
c) Is there is an exclusivity clause, which would prevent you from piloting new cost
saving interpreting services during the duration of your contract with your existing
provider?
Humberside Police cannot provide an answer to this question. There is currently a contract change and the new contracts have not yet been signed.
7. From which budget within your organisation are interpreting services funded?
Interpreting services are funded via our centralised budgets.
8. Where do you advertise your tenders? If you do not do a full tender / which
frameworks would you use?
This is unknown to Humberside Police. Procurement is done via the regional procurement team based in West Yorkshire.
9. What is the start and end date for either the framework or direct contracts you
have with interpreting and translation supplier(s)?
The end date for this contract is 30/11/2023. Commencement of next contract is 01/12/2023 until 30/12/2026.
