It is never our intention to keep victims waiting however every call that comes in to us is graded based on threat, harm and risk to those involved in order to ensure that anyone in immediate danger gets a prompt response. This can result in a slight delay in responding to other incidents that may have happened hours before they are reported particularly when we are busy.
Just the advice and the reassurance that if it did progress further they would send somebody out, they did ask if I wanted someone to be sent out but I said I would leave it.
I had to ring them for the reference number and they did not email me the details so I was not able to track my crime but I did give them my email address to sign me up for it.
