Humberside Police are part of the national Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) and are in the process of engaging with local organisations and companies in order to work in partnership with regard to the reduction of low level crime and to address community safety issues.
CSAS is part of the Police Reform Act 2002 which allows Chief Constables to accredit suitable employers and their employees within their Force area with certain powers in respect of them carrying out community safety functions. To find the list of accredited powers available please visit the Home Office website.
Organisations that can be accredited with powers include local authorities, public bodies and private security companies within the Humberside Force area who, after suitability checks, vetting and training, can work in partnership with us in increasing public reassurance, accessibility and visibility.
If you are an employer and are interested in becoming an accredited organisation, and would like to find out how to apply for accreditation under the scheme please consult the below guidance document.
To determine if your organisation is suitable for accreditation within Humberside Police please complete the CSAS Suitability Form listed below and submit to us via the Humberside Police CSAS email.
