Welcome to the Immingham Neighbourhood Policing Area
Welcome to the Immingham Neighbourhood Policing Team, who cover Immingham and the Wolds villages.
This is a very varied area to police, with Immingham Town and the industry of the Humber Bank from the Europarc to Immingham Dock. We also have the more rural villages to the south of our area, up to the Lincolnshire border.
We have dedicated staff for each ward who have regular contact with those living and working in our communities. This is an important part of neighbourhood policing, in terms of building up trust and confidence and encouraging people to report their concerns.
We have staff specifically trained in wildlife crime who work with the local farming community and landowners. We also work closely with the UK Border Force in dealing with the demand of illegal entry into the country through the ports. We know how reassuring it is to members of our community to see officers out on the beat, and have been sending staff out to where the problems are.
We want you to feel safe and reassured that we are there for you. We will work with our partners to ensure you get the best service and outcomes.
Update From Inspector Martin Hopper
I have over 24 years Police service and most of which has been on the South Bank, and over 20 years within the Grimsby area. I have a great deal of experience in operational policing, including being a Traffic Officer, Dog Handler, Public Order Trainer and most recently a Custody Sergeant. I have worked on large scale events locally, regionally and nationally. One of my career highlights was being involved in the Policing of the London 2012 Olympics.
Whilst I am new to this role I am no stranger to North East Lincolnshire and the issues the area faces on a daily basis. I applied for this role as I felt it is an area of policing where you can genuinely make a difference. I aim get out to personally meet partners and key individual contacts, and support my staff in what they deliver. I want members of the local community to enjoy living where they do, and feel safe in their own homes.
