Welcome to the Driffield Neighbourhood Policing Area
Welcome to the Driffield Neighbourhood Policing Team which cover the wards of Driffield & Rural and East Wolds and Coastal.
The town of Driffield is regarded as the capital of the Yorkshire Wolds and is renowned for the annual agriculture show, which is one of the largest in the country.
We pride ourselves on working closely with our communities to find out what issues are affecting you the most, and you have told us that travelling criminality and road safety are your major concerns. We are actively identifying and disrupting the travelling criminal in to East Yorkshire. We are also working with our partners in Safer Roads Humber to make our roads safer.
As your Neighbourhood Policing Team we have responsibility for a large area of rural countryside and farmland stretching from the North Yorkshire boundary to the Flamborough Headland Coast. We have a high number of Wildlife Crime Officers, who are dedicated to investigating specialist rural crime. We’re committed to solving long term crime patterns, dealing with anti-social behaviour and protecting the vulnerable.
Update From Inspector Rob Cocker
My colleagues and I cover one of largest rural agricultural areas in the county. Our aim is to support our rural communities and ensure they are provided with a quality police service. We want to identify emerging crime trends at an early stage, and use the latest technology to disrupt crime. We want to positively engage with our residents - especially those in villages who often feel isolated - and maximise our opportunities to be visible in our communities.
