Your Right to Information
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 requires public authorities to produce a Publication Scheme. Humberside Police has based its scheme on a model developed by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) in consultation with all 44 police forces in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Humberside Police is committed to delivering a service that is as open and transparent as possible. We intend to publish information in our Publication Scheme which the public has an interest in viewing.
However it must be recognised that the public interest will sometimes mean that certain information should not be disclosed. Information concerning current investigations, investigative methods, intelligence and operational tactics must be protected. Humberside Police will, when necessary, give reasonable consideration to the exemptions afforded under the Freedom of Information Act, particularly Section 30 Investigation and proceedings conducted by public authorities, Section 31 Law enforcement and Section 41 Information provided in confidence.
Further information or assistance can be obtained from our Information Compliance Unit.
