Woman arrested following bogus caller incidents

Hull: Any other victims are urged to call 101

We are appealing to trace further victims after vulnerable victims have been targeted by a bogus caller in Hull.

In at least two incidents a woman has approached homes of elderly and vulnerable people, before claiming to be a housing officers or carer to gain entry to their homes.  Once inside the offender has then tricked the victim to hand over money.

Man charged with burglary

Hull: Morgan will go on trial at Hull Crown Court next year

A Hull man charged with seven counts of burglary is due to go on trial before Hull Crown Court on Wednesday, January 4.

Danny Morgan, 40, of Dorado Close, is further charged with possession of heroin.

Following an initial appearance before Hull and Holderness Magistrates Court on December 1, he has been remanded in custody pending his trial at Hull Crown Court.

Pearson Park attempted robbery

Hull: Anyone with information should call 101.

Police are appealing for information after an alleged robbery in Pearson Park, Hull at around 10.25am yesterday (Monday 17 October 2016).

A 20-year-old man was walking through the park when he was approached by an unknown man who threatened him and demanded money.

Fearing for his safety the victim handed over the cash.

BURGLARY CHALLENGE FOR STUDENTS

HULL: GAME HIGHLIGHTING THE DANGERS OF INSECURE HOMES TAKING PLACE ON CAMPUS

Police are in attendance at the University of Hull again on Monday 10 October to provide a lesson in the dangers on leaving homes unlocked.

The Community Policing Team and Community Safety volunteers will be setting up a burglary challenge game that highlights the speed in which a burglary can take place if homes are left unlocked.

CCTV appeal following assault and criminal damage

Hull: The males or anyone who can identify them should call 101

Detectives are appealing for help identifying two males they would like to speak to following an assault and criminal damage at a newsagents on Newland Avenue, Hull between 12pm and 1210pm on Thursday 28 July.

It's a chance to meet your local officers, tell them about crime and antisocial behaviour in your area and get crime prevention advice.

You can also have a say in what your local police and other agencies focus on in your area at Priority Setting Meetings. Any member of the community can go along and talk to local officers and PCSO's, council workers and people from Fire and Rescue about issues you face. What you say at these meetings will help the policing teams decide how they should focus their resources in your area. If you think we're getting it right or wrong at the moment, come along and have your say.
