Hull: Man left with life threatening injuries

Do you know this man?

We are keen to speak to him as part of our investigation into a serious assault outside the Merchant Navy Club, Ferensway, Hull, at around 5.45pm on Monday, January 9, which left a 54-year-old man with potentially life threatening injuries.

He remains in Hull Royal Infirmary.

Woman arrested following bogus caller incidents

Hull: Any other victims are urged to call 101

We are appealing to trace further victims after vulnerable victims have been targeted by a bogus caller in Hull.

In at least two incidents a woman has approached homes of elderly and vulnerable people, before claiming to be a housing officers or carer to gain entry to their homes.  Once inside the offender has then tricked the victim to hand over money.

A woman was assaulted after going to the aid of a man who was being targeted by a group of youths in Hull.

The incident happened between 4.10pm and 4.30pm on Saturday, October 15, in Londesborough Street – and officers investigating are now keen to speak to the man, who could be a key witness.

Man robbed on waste land

Hull: Appeal for witnesses to assault

A man remains in hospital with serious injuries after being robbed by two men who followed him from a cash machine.

The attack on the 43-year-old victim happened between 3am and 7am yesterday (Monday, October 10), on waste land between Argyle Street and the KC stadium.

The man had recently used a cash machine on Anlaby Road, close to the junction with Lonsdale Street.

Detectives would like to speak to the man shown in this footage in relation to an alleged assault on Sunday September 4, 2016.

Just after 7.15am on Sunday morning (4th September, 2016) as a 25-year-old Hull man was walking down Spring Bank, it is alleged he was assaulted and had his black Microsoft Lumia mobile phone stolen in the process.

It is thought the person shown in the moving footage may have been involved and may have walked from the direction of Hull City Centre before the incident.

Spike in thefts from vehicles

Hull: Public urged to keep their cars secure and keep property out of view

Police are urging motorists to take steps to protect their vehicles after 15 thefts from vehicles in the Riverside area of Hull in two weeks (between Monday 21 March and Monday 4 April). 

Nearly three quarters of the incidents involved offenders smashing a window to steal items left on display and in the majority of cases resulted in Sat-Navs and money being stolen.

You can pop along to Police Surgeries, which are informal drop-in sessions at well visited places in the community. It's a chance to meet your local officers, tell them about crime and antisocial behaviour in your area and get crime prevention advice.

You can also have a say in what your local police and other agencies focus on in your area at Priority Setting Meetings. Any member of the community can go along and talk to local officers and PCSO's, council workers and people from Fire and Rescue about issues you face. What you say at these meetings will help the policing teams decide how they should focus their resources in your area.
