Did you witness an assault in Cleethorpes?

A GRIMSBY man suffered multiple facial injuries after he was assaulted in a Cleethorpes street.

The incident happened at approximately 0130hrs on Sunday 21 April as the 24-year-old man, who was well in drink, was walking along Osbourne Street from Market Street, heading towards the High Street.

The victim is unable to explain in detail what happened but it is believed he was approached by a white man, wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt who for reasons unknown punched him in the face.

The victim sustained grazing and swelling to the right hand side of his face, swelling to the upper lip and upper teeth pushed back. He also sustained a fractured jaw and received hospital treatment at the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby.
