17 YEAR OLD CHARGED WITH ARSON

Local neighbourhood Police officers arrested a 17-year-old male following arson incidents which happened on Friday 05 November and Saturday 06 November 2010.

The incidents, which involved a number of wheelie bins being set alight, occurred on Scott Close in Grimsby resulting in a number of calls from concerned residents.

Police attended the area along with Humberside Fire and Rescue and spoke to a number of residents before arresting 3 males thought to be involved.

These males were interviewed resulting in one of suspects, a 17-year-old local male being charged with arson and kept for court.

Neighbourhood Policing Sgt Steve Lynn said: "This incident highlights the important of partnership working at this time of year to tackle the associated problems that can arise.

"In this instance, calls came in from concerned residents in the Scott Close area and Police attended along with our Fire and Rescue partners.

"A number of inquiries were made resulting in the arrest and subsequent charge of a 17-year-old male in connection with the incident."
