Officers investigating an altercation which lead to a car being damaged in Beverley are appealing for witnesses. At about 1030hrs on Thursday 09 May 2013, it is alleged a lady driving a Suzuki swift car slowed down near the DVLA office on Mill Lane in Beverley to allow a cyclist to pass. As this happened it is believed the cyclist and another man became enthralled in a verbal altercation, which progressed into a physical assault. The man riding the bicycle and the other man involved in the altercation were very near to the Suzuki Swift car and as a result, the cyclist ended up landing on top of the cars’ bonnet, resulting in a large scratch and dent to the vehicle.

The identification of a black dog and its owner are sought, after a man was bitten, requiring stitches in Beverley. On Good Friday (29 March 2013) at about 0915hrs the caretaker of Tickton School, Beverley had just parked his car in the school car park when it is believed a small black coloured dog; thought to be some sort of staffy-cross or possibly a pit bull ran near the car.
