If there's a road collision or incident
When traffic is congested due to a road accident or incident, we work with local media to keep road users up-to-date with any road problems. Road users should tune in to a local radio station to monitor problems and plan alternative routes.
Our Roads Policing officers are always seeking to improve traffic flow on our roads. Our traffic management officers work alongside local authorities to improve road layouts, and advise on planned improvements, new laws and construction, taking into consideration safety and traffic flow.
