Getting in touch with us
If you wish to raise any comments or concerns you can do so in a variety of ways such as:
• Attending local meetings:-
Police Surgery. An opportunity for you to meet privately with a member of the neighbourhood team to discuss any policing issue of concern. This is a drop-in event so you may have to wait a few minutes.
Police and Communities Together Meeting. This is a public meeting where the police and other public authority representatives will be present. Its main purpose is to determine what the local priorities for action over the next three moths will be. It gives members of the public an opportunity to raise their concerns and influence those decisions.
Street Briefing. The whole neighbourhood team will be briefed on current problems in the area and tasked to deal with them. The public can meet with the officers and be informed about how they can help with these issues.
• By email to the neighbourhood team - use the contact form on the right of the page.
• By telephone using the single non-emergency number 101.
• In person at any police station.

Theft from motor vehicles
A theft from a motor vehicle occurred on the 1/1/12 on Laburnum Avenue. On 19/1/12 a motor vehicle was broken into and a tin of paint stolen on Grove Lane.. Also on the same night on Skinners lane a Mitsubishi L200 was broken into and a CD player stolen. Your Neighbourhood Policing Team have been carrying out high viz patrols in these areas to deter any would be thieves. We would ask the public to be vigilant and report anything out of the ordinary. If possible it would be remove property or at least lock it in the boot of your vehicle so that there is nothing on show. Quick comms have been delivered in area’s were thefts have occurred.

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team appreciates the importance of being in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons to reassure the public, improve public confidence and reduce crime and anti social behaviour in the area which you live. With this in mind consultation is continuously being conducted and officers are being deployed in areas which have been identified by various means, including analysis of current crime patterns and trends as a result of incidents that have been reported to the police, listening to members of the public and concerns at the regularly held Street Briefings, Parish Council meetings and also whilst out on general patrol and during visits to our victims of crime.
Your local officers along with other police resources, such as our Special Constabulary, Response Officers, Roads Policing Units to name but a few are currently being deployed in the areas which have been identified as part of your priorities which is reviewed on a monthly basis.
These priorities are not an exhaustive list, however, it provides a focus for the top three issues within your Ward area
