Getting in touch with us
If you wish to raise any comments or concerns you can do so in a variety of ways such as:
• Attending local meetings:-
Police Surgery. An opportunity for you to meet privately with a member of the neighbourhood team to discuss any policing issue of concern. This is a drop-in event so you may have to wait a few minutes.
Police and Communities Together Meeting. This is a public meeting where the police and other public authority representatives will be present. Its main purpose is to determine what the local priorities for action over the next three moths will be. It gives members of the public an opportunity to raise their concerns and influence those decisions.
Street Briefing. The whole neighbourhood team will be briefed on current problems in the area and tasked to deal with them. The public can meet with the officers and be informed about how they can help with these issues.
• By email to the neighbourhood team - use the contact form on the right of the page.
• By telephone using the single non-emergency number 101.
• In person at any police station.
You can also notify us of any dissatisfaction with the service you have received by contacting our Professional Standards Branch. They can be contacted in a variety of ways details of these can be found by clicking here.
Sidney Sussex Team
PCSO Jeffrey Wright (7879)
I have been with Humberside Police for several years and enjoy every minute of it. Every day brings something different. I've enjoyed meeting new people and helping as many members of the public as possible.
PCSO Christopher Arnold (7596)
Police Constable Tom Stevens (367)
I joined Humberside Police in January 2007 and after completing my initial training period I was attached to Incident Response in Grimsby.
The work was interesting meeting all aspects of the Grimsby and Cleethorpes community and assisting them with there problems and concerns.
After 4 years of working on Incident Response I made the transition into Neighbourhood policing seeking to gain a deeper understating of communities and how early police interaction can help develop stronger relationships with the people we serve.
I have joined a friendly new team in Cleethorpes and I am now responsible for policing Humberston, New Waltham and Haverstoe.
PCSO Richard Moore (7501)
I am Police Community Support Officer Richard Moore and I cover the Haverstoe Ward area.
I joined Humberside Police in April 2009 after I worked in the Motor Trade for five years.
I can without a doubt say that no two days are ever the same, this is one of the reasons I enjoy my role so much.
I get great satisfaction from my job due to meeting different people on a daily basis from all walks of life, giving support and being involved in the community.
PCSO Sharon Cochrane (7748)
I have been a Police Community Support Officer for four years and work within the Sidney Sussex Ward.
Together with my colleagues we address local issues and concerns, tackle anti-social behaviour and aim to reduce the fear of crime within the local community.
As part of my PCSO role I attend Elliston Primary School and I am also a Community School Governor for Elliston Primary.
I regularly patrol in the neighbourhood and enjoy making contacts with businesses and members of the community

Patrol times & areas

Areas of Anti Social behaviour
It is important that shift patterns reflect the needs of local people and demand to provide visibility and meet agreed priorities and problem solving. Neighbourhood Policing Teams where appropriate have developed a patrol strategy for their area agreed with the community so public contact is increased beyond patrol in vehicles, by attending meetings or key visits.
Our emphasis is on being accessible and visible to the public.
The local relationship and commitment to meet priorities through the local pledge will ensure that patrol times may be negotiated and agreed where appropriate.
In this area the following specific patrol times and areas have been agreed.
Further areas are identified on a daily basis using incident reports to the police and local intelligence. Neighbourhood officers will continue to remain active and visible in the community.
