Humberside Police - protecting communities, targeting criminals

The Business Crime Reduction Centre and business crime prevention advice

The Business Crime Reduction Centre (BCRC) is an initiative which helps small to medium enterprises in the Yorkshire and Humber region tackle problems caused by crime.

Whether your business has been affected by crime or you are seeking preventative measures against crime, the Business Crime Reduction Centre (BCRC) is here to assist you.

The BCRC are working with Humberside Police and three other forces in the area  to assist business with crime prevention advice and support.

The BCRC employs a team of highly trained Business Crime Reduction Advisers who visit businesses in the region to offer free and impartial advice on security matters.

This advice generally falls into two parts – the physical security of the property e.g. fencing, cameras, alarms etc. Second, the Advisers also provide information on ‘cyber security’, that is ensuring the businesses computer and online systems are secure in order to protect sensitive data.

The BCRC is funded by Yorkshire Forward the Regional Development Agency.
