HMIC Thematic inspection (Policing Pledge) - Delivering the Policing Pledge – Executive Summary
The Policing Pledge is a framework for national policing standards and HMIC has a role to play in letting the public know whether these are being delivered locally.
Between April and October 2009 we will inspect all 43 forces against their delivery of the policing pledge. In the meantime we have done some scoping work to assess progress to include:
- reviewing police force websites
- conducting reality checks and
- visiting seven forces.
This document summarises the early findings from this work.
